I started taking Modafinil 100mg three days ago. The first two days I didn't have much anxiety but yesterday I could barely sleep and today I have massive anxiety. I wonder if I keep taking it will subside eventually like it happens in the beggining when you start antidepressants. Any similar experiences? Thank you!
Does the anxiety caused by Modafinil go away with time?

Hi there! I’ve been taking Modafinil for about a year. Started with 100 mg each day. Got me way too jittery and couldn’t sleep. My best solution after speaking with doc, was to take 50 mg early in the morning Keeps me awake and not anxious at all. Hope this helps! The best to you

L-Theanine and L-tyrosine I’ve heard is your best friend if Modafinil is causing anxiety. Good luck.

Hi
I've been taking Modafinil as required (which is probably once to twice a week) with a year long gap and I've just started taking it again.
I haven't found it causes or increases anxiety, and I can get pretty anxious sometimes, but no correlation, if that helps. My thought is that perhaps you need more focused treatment for the anxiety. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness training are my first suggestions. Good Luck and I hope you're on the mend. It would be interesting to know how old you are.
